Blockchain Puberty: Are Non-Fungible Tokens more than pimples?
Time flies! If Blockchain was a kid, it would reach puberty when the first-ever block mined, celebrates its 13th birthday in early January 2022.
Keep this in mind while you wrap your head around the Blockchain community’s latest three-letter craze: Non-Fungible Tokens called NFTs.
Here’s my very own parental assessment in short: If you think of NFTs as Hormones, you’re not far off: They are making the Web3 much more social, moody, and popularity-oriented.
Already, they are in the system of most modern Blockchains like Ethereum. Mostly, they come in the form of digital assets that look like stickers. But some may also represent unique possession rights in the real world like access to pricey vintage bottles full of the best red wine.
